Livestock

With 325 classes offered to livestock exhibitors, Okehampton Show has become one of the largest 1 day livestock shows in the South West - at the time of cancelling the 2007 event, we had recieved 230 cattle and 845 sheep entries for the show. With pigs, dairy and pygmy goats adding to the numbers, Okehampton Show is a marvellous showcase for premium quality livestock in this part of the country.

All Exhibitors who entered in 2007 will be sent a Livestock Schedule towards the end of May.

Cattle

There are well attended classes for both Native and Continental breeds and we very much look forward to welcoming South Devons back to the Show after an absence of many years. Hereford classes are also brought back this year.

The Junior Handler classes are very popular in the Guernsey section and the Junior Showmanship Competition offers young exhibitors a great opportunity to hone their showing skills.
